About Me

photo 1Hello! Welcome to my blog. I am Yasemin aka YaseminTea (thanks babe 🙂 ). This is my creative space – my virtual sewing lab, my sanctuary. As a mother of three young children my days are filled with noise, messes and constantly serving others. My days are active, busy and rarely home. At the end of the day I look back at the my day and feel like I have only put out little fires but have nothing to show for it. That’s when my sense of ‘making’ comes into play. I love cutting up fabric – mostly without a pattern – and sewing them back together into something useful. Having two little girls my go-to thing to sew is skirts! I LOVE making them – my girls love wearing them. It’s a win-win. With the scraps of my favorite fabrics I love making patchwork quilts. And with the tiniest of remnants I love sewing my girls dolls clothes and hair accessories.  This blog is not for just those sewn things but also the seen things, the things we do as a family, places we travel to. After having lived in the US for almost 15 years it’s nice to be back in Europe. We do take advantage of being in the center of the continent and being surrounded by so many different countries. I also write about our travels on the blog. Next to sewing, travelling is my second favorite thing to do! Having a good camera along makes for a great web log!

Here I write about sewing and here about travelling. This is all the time I have here for now. Thank you for stopping by.

Love,

Yasemin
