When temperatures are just above the freezing point for weeks here in Northern Germany, you light some candles and retreat to your creative space to cut & sew, cut & sew and dream about spring! The result is a handful of new clothes for Stella, a couple of things for Seda and half a dozen gifts! By the way, Seda took these pictures as I ‘styled’ my mini-model!! 🙂
I made this pillowtop-style dress for her big sister many times when she was the same age. Cute just as is or over jeans or leggins and even with a t-shirt for chilly summer afternoons…
And here’s the diva after the ‘strenuous’ photo shoot 🙂
A new tutu for Seda’s ballet
An angel dress for my little angel
There was also some gift-sewing:
Lavender sachets for my sister
A tablet cover featuring a frog!
Another one made from my husband’s old favorite dress shirt
A make-it-your own case for my nephew:
And last but not least new bedspreads for Stella’s big-girl bed (in calming lavender):
But that’s just the beginning. With all the fabric shopping of the last weeks I got a few more ideas to put into reality.
Polka dots on denim, and how about those roses!!!
Now, please excuse me while I head back to my happy place and continue sewing…
